Early in the morning after breakfast, you will depart from the hotel heading toward Materuni Waterfalls, 1 hour 45 Minutes’ drive to Materuni village located at the bottom of Kilimanjaro National Park. You will be able to learn traditions and customs as well as how the local people who are Chagga grow and process the coffee for substance use, you will visit coffee farms pick coffee, and make your strong coffee locally. And hike for 30 minutes to Materuni waterfalls which are about 80 m higher to explore nature and swim, this waterfall is fresh water drainage from Mount Kilimanjaro. After this tour, you will enjoy your picnic lunch then head to Chemka hot spring.

CHEMKA HOT SPRING

This is probably the best place to swim. Emanating from within the earth, the geo-thermally warmed water is constantly renewed and is therefore very fresh and clear and clean. It’s a very pleasant place to spend a couple of hours with family, or to relax, in Chemka you will be able to swim and enjoy the place, then later in the evening you will return to Arusha.
